- ➤ Fish fries are returning this Lent as local communities come together for traditional meals. St. James in Elizabethtown will host a fry every Friday from Feb. 20 to March 27 (5 to 7:30 p.m.) with dine-in and carry-out options. WLKY
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ High school seniors who are children of KFB members must submit applications for the post-secondary scholarship program by 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28. Funds cover tuition, housing, books, and more—supporting nontraditional students in over 50 categories. Quicksie 98.3
- ➤ Five schools in Elizabethtown and LaRue County were named as recipients of the 2026 Read to Achieve grants to help struggling readers. The funds will improve reading programs at the selected schools. The News-Enterprise
