EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Hardin County Schools remains on NTI today as snow and ice conditions keep secondary roads unsafe for student travel. District officials (supported by crews who used over 400 tons of salt) will decide later this week if in-class learning can resume. WLKY
- ➤ A report from the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education shows 60% (six out of 10) of undergrad students graduate debt-free compared to 40% in 2019-2020. Community and technical college graduates finish at 74% while average loan balances have decreased for public university borrowers. Quicksie 98.3
- ➤ Leftover snow and ice slowed school bus routes, with 10 buses each day getting stuck on local side streets while crews plowed more miles than ever before. JCPS provided a list (260 roads) to the city so families know students reached school safely. WLKY
