- ➤ CASA of the Heartland will expand its service area to include Hart County in 2026. In its first year, the program served 312 children with 108 volunteers and trained 38 new ones, though 125 children remain on the wait list. Quicksie 98.3
- ➤ Following executive director Dawn Cash's death in December, Warm Blessings Community Kitchen board took steps to sustain services; the kitchen reopened January 8 and now offers day services (8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, Thursday, and Friday) and community meals Monday to Friday while pantry services are being restructured.
