Ashlock Hollow Forest Road Night Hike

About this event

Explore Bernheim’s backcountry at night with Volunteer Naturalists along Ashlock Hollow Forest Road. This moderately easy 1-mile adventure follows along a gravel forest road to a remote prairie.

You’ll enjoy a dark-sky experience with minimal light pollution, a guided astronomy discussion, and the chance to view stars and planets through a telescope. This hike takes you to areas of Bernheim that are only accessible with a guide.

For your safety and comfort, sturdy, treaded shoes or hiking boots are essential, and hiking sticks are highly recommended. Please avoid tennis shoes, as parts of the trail may be slippery.

Registration required by 4 p.m. the day prior to the program. No pets, please. Call (502) 215-7155 or click the button below to register.
